Live Wire show

“Not officially connected to Artscape, but in the neighborhood, is the newly opened Positron Gallery, which unveils Live Wire, an exhibit of new work by such local artists as Joanna Barnum, Mike Fila and Anne Israel.” from the Baltimore Sun’s rundown of arts events coinciding with Artscape.

Baltimore City Paper also includes Live Wire in its Artscape listing.

I hear the Urbanite may review the show. I hope so!

  1. Hmmmm..very awesome work for this show.
I especially love the colors used for the Marie Curie portrait and the idea for the embroidery ring as the part of the piece and her eye looking through with the atomic rings is just fascinating and wonderful.
I also really love the mapwork for the Matthew Henson piece and the fact that the colors are so neutral within his actual portrait. In general, I like how the coloring in the portraits fit the work they accomplished..or at least do in my head.
