Turkish beading

I’ve wanted to try my hand at a fully beaded handmade from scratch belly dance costume for a while now. I’ve been on the quest for the perfect green Turkish style costume for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to be too popular at the moment so I’ve been trying to get one second hand. I own one right now that’s a little too small, and I bought one that was way too big which I’ve since resold for what I paid. If I can ever finish this, I’ll hopefully have one of my own that fits perfectly.

It’s going to take a while. This is a close up of the belt, which will eventually be fully beaded. Once I finish the swirly ornaments, the background will be plain flat sequins with bugle bead spacers.

  1. Hey, I found you through (though it seems we share several friends). You seem neat so I hope it’s okay if I add you. Feel free to add me back or not at your discretion 🙂
